Welcome to Velocity Indoor Karting. Thank you for choosing Velocity Indoor Karting for your kart racing experience. Safety is very important we want everybody to have a fun and enjoyable experience here. Please pay attention I’m going to go over some important information regarding our karts.

First and most important is the MUFFLER, it is EXTREMELY HOT and will burn you. It is located behind the kart on the right side. Be very careful when entering and exiting the karts as well as on the track.

The YELLOW FLAG is the caution flag, yellow means slow down. It is very important that you do slow down when you see a yellow if you do not we will give you a sign saying SLOW FOR YELLOW. Your second warning will be the sign with a BLACK FLAG, and your third warning will be a BLACK FLAG and you will be pulled off the track and your race will be over.

Keep the contact to a minimum if we see you bumping or rough driving we will give you a sign saying NO BUMPING. Your second warning will be the sign with a BLACK FLAG, and your third warning will be a BLACK FLAG and you will be pulled off the track and race will be over.

DO NOT get out of the karts for any reason. If you spin out and your kart is stuck in the barrier system stay seated and wait for one of the TRACK MARSHALS to come get you out. If your kart breaks down stay seated and wait for one of us to bring you a new kart. If you get out of your kart for any reason you will be pulled off the track immediately and your race will be over.

These karts do go very fast so you will need to slow down in the corners. The GAS is on the right and the BRAKE is on the left. If we see you consistently having problems sliding or spinning out in the corners we will give you a sign saying USE BRAKES to help you slow down in the corners. DO NOT use both pedals at the same time (we call this “Riding the Brakes”) it is very hard on the engine. If we see you using both pedals at the same time we will give you a warning sign saying STOP RIDING THE BRAKES we will use the same three warnings as the SLOW FOR YELLOW and NO BUMPING.

At the end of your race session we will give you a BLACK & WHITE CHECKERED flag letting you know your race session is over. You will have one more lap and then you will need to come into the pits. This is a slow down lap, Track Marshals will be on the track waiving their YELLOW FLAG directing you into the pits. When entering the pits you MUST DRIVE SLOW.

HELMETS MUST be buckled and need to remain on at all time while on pit side of the safety wall. Now you may put your helmets on, it is easier to put the helmet on before the neck roll.
